Choosing an Office 2024 edition can be confusing because the names sound similar, but the intended users and included applications are different.
Office Home & Business 2024 is designed for individuals, families and small businesses that need the core Office applications plus Outlook. It is available for either Windows or macOS, depending on the licence purchased.
Office Professional Plus 2024 is the more complete Windows edition. It includes the main productivity applications and adds Microsoft Access for database management.

Microsoft Publisher is not included with Office LTSC 2024, and Microsoft did not release a Publisher 2024 application.
Publisher 2021 remains the final perpetual Publisher version and reaches the end of support in October 2026.
Users who depend on Publisher should not choose Professional Plus 2024 expecting to find it in the package.
Does Either Edition Include Microsoft 365 Services?
No.
These are perpetual desktop editions rather than Microsoft 365 subscriptions.
They do not automatically include:
- 1 TB of OneDrive storage
- Continuously added Microsoft 365 features
- A multi-user family plan
- Installation across several personal devices
- Ongoing major-version upgrades
- The full Microsoft 365 cloud-service package
The benefit is that there is no monthly or annual Office subscription payment.
